Depression and stress related to liver disease

The high level of anxiety increases the risk of liver disease. The data come from a 10-year study conducted by the University of Edinburgh.

In the survey they were under social and psychological factors, such as alcohol consumption, obesity and diabetes. The data showed that there is a clear link between psychological stress state of depression and physical health of the hepatic system. Parts of this study were 165 thousand people, who were monitored for mental problems / psychological.
Each of them was kept under observation over 10 years. During this period, they record the reasons for the death of those patients who died, and were divided into categories. In conclusion, the researchers noted that those who showed signs of depression and stress were much less likely to survive a fatal liver disease. Speaking britaniken "The Independent" Dr. Tom Russ said that these data are important evidence of the connection between the brain and the body and the damaging effects of psychological disorders. However, work done by a group of scientists does not reveal any direct reasons, but is the first to identify a link between mental and liver damage.
